Eddie Ross - 62 Not Out!

I just wanted to post a short update about Eddie which I think will be of interest to everyone visiting this site. You may have read here that Eddie stopped his teaching and pastoral work at The Sixth Form College in 2020 at the start of the pandemic. He has continued to teach online ever since which means he has now been teaching and supporting students for a total of sixty-two years - a lifetime spent in the service of others. 

When I dropped off his Christmas card this week Eddie told me that he is once again teaching French and German at The Sixth Form College on North Hill, one morning a week as a voluntary support worker. So fifty-seven years after he first walked through those gates, he's back! Apparently some of the staff think he is new - those who know him have given him the nickname "Boomerang"! 

Frankly, he's an inspiration and I'm sure everyone who knows and remembers Eddie will wish him well in his 'new' job at the old Gilberd.
